Since the time I became a member almost 2 decades ago I have seen the association go through a myriad of changes. I grew up with the association so to speak as a professional. I developed in my career and transitioned from a member to one of the Instructors. Furthermore, SCMAO realized early on that CSCL/CSCL/CSCMP graduates needed more than the functional knowledge to succeed. Professionals need the right people skills to thrive in the workplace. In the past 4 years I have seen further establishment of SCMAO’s focus on thought leadership, enhancing its diverse sector focus and elevating the CSCL/CSCL/CSCMP Designation. In addition, they have been a key industry voice and educator during the global pandemic, all of which have been inspiring. Going forward, I can only see a continued upward trajectory for the members and the broader supply chain community as a result of the collective efforts of SCMAO. They have been there for professionals, academics, students and graduates along each step of the way. Thank you SCMAO!

I have been a member of SCMAO for almost a decade now. My role at SCMAO has been a progression from being a member to a CSCL/CSCL/CSCMP, to being a committee member, to being a Board member and now to being the Board Chair. The journey has been rewarding, to say the least, because the more involved I was with the Association, the more I realized its commitment to the members, value-delivery and to the advancement of the supply chain profession. This commitment was more so evident in the last 4 years and that inspired me to volunteer my time on the Committees and on the Board, so that I could share my skills, make an impact and give back to the profession. SCMAO has transformed exponentially in the last few years to a leading-edge and contemporary supply chain community, and as this transformation continues, I am proud to be an important part of it

As a CSCL/CSCL/CSCMP designation holder for 13 years, I have volunteered in different capacities within the SCMAO and most recently I presently sit as a volunteer on the Ethics committee. I am a long-standing member, a vocal advocate and promoter of the SCMAO. I recommend the SCMAO to anyone employed in supply chain, looking to get into a rewarding career or looking to hire a procurement professional without hesitation. SCMAO has the leadership, the management staff, resources and dedication to make the Institute both strong and what will be a proud association to be a member of.

As a past Member of the Board of Directors of SCMAO, I had the privilege of working closely with Al-Azhar Khalfan and the SCMAO Board to engage and unite the members, and witnessed first-hand SCMAO’s dedication to elevating the profession. In my view, SCMAO is truly a thriving community for all Supply Chain professionals, offering relevant opportunities for both emerging and experienced Supply Chain leaders. As a passionate advocate of the Supply Chain profession and Women Empowerment, being involved and aligned with an association whose mission is to positively transform the Supply Chain profession has been, and will continue to be a very rewarding and fulfilling experience. I highly encourage all those in leadership roles to join and get involved in this wonderful organization.
